I recently met Michael Levine (Dallas Brass) at Midwest and he told me about his Harmony Bridge program. Not only is it a fabulous way to get kids excited about small ensembles, but it's also designed to help the students develop their skills as independent-thinking musicians. And then there is an outreach aspect that could be life-changing for students, giving them the opportunity to be real performers and bring joy to people in their own communities.
